Romans 11 Bow the Knee
Sometimes we feel that we are all alone;
we may also feel we are alone in our faith; we may even feel abandoned by God. We
may feel that America has turned its back on God. But listen to what Paul says: Vs. 1-4 I say then has God cast away His people? Certainly not! ….God did not cast away His
people whom He foreknew. Or do you not
know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel,
saying, “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I
alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what does the divine response say to
him? “I have reserved for Myself seven
thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”
God has reserved us. We are not alone. There is a powerful remnant. Let us not in
any way bow the knee to the “Baals” around us. Let us bow the knee to God
alone. Let us not give up or give in and turn our
backs on the principles of God’s Word.
In the midst of your greatest pain and
darkest valley, let us lift our hearts, our eyes and our voices in praise to
the great and glorious God that we serve.
I love how Paul closes this chapter.
We need to hear this. Vs. 33, 36
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His
ways past finding out! For of Him and
through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
